Despite rumors of an on-set spat during the production season, Lisa Raye says she didn’t have Stacey Dash fired and doesn’t even have the power to do so in the first place.

LisaRaye, has finally addressed the rumors with the following message posted to her FB wall, while on vacation in Europe.

“As everyone knows I am in Italy vacationing. I was just made aware of the lies that are being spread by *********** and other blogs that like to create false stories. I was not even aware that Stacy Dash had been fired from Single Ladies. Furthermore if she has been fired that is a network decision. I don’t have the power to get her fired nor do I have any beef with her. Now im going to go continue enjoying my vacation!

How convincing is she really? Does a statement have to really be made by her?

Show writer and executive producer Stacey Littlejohn also responded to the rumor via Facebook:

LisaRaye is a very strong woman and we love her, but she does not have that kind of power, nor at any time did she seek to influence any casting decisions. Furthermore, no cast member of Single Ladies has the power to get another cast member fired. the 6th grade back-stabbing that LisaRaye’s being accused of is completely the creation of uninformed, instigating internet gossip. Please don’t buy into it. Let’s just celebrate that we have a Season 2 coming!!!!

More convincing, and for what? People are going to say, and believe what they want. Wait until Stacey’s statement comes out.

It has been reported that Dash was not asked to return for season 2. The outlet cited sources who said Stacey “feuded with the cast, cancelled promos and caused entirely too much drama.”

Casting is already underway for her replacement so that they can begin shooting the next season. It’s also rumored that producer Queen Latifah put in the call to fire Stacey herself.

Well it definitely sounds like it’s a wrap for Stacey Dash. What a “HOT-MESS! I myself have been a big fan of Stacey Dash, and I was extremely happy to see her working. Hopefully we’ll see her in something bigger, and better in the future.
