Details are sketchy at this time, but it’s being reported that the singer’s body was found in a Los Angeles hotel room. Vesta was known for her soulful voice. Shes had (6) albums, and she’s scored seven Top 20 R&B hits from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. Her hits have included, “Don’t Blow a Good Thing”, “Once Bitten, Twice Shy”, and her 1989 hit “Congratulations”.

Vesta was Born in Coshocton, Ohio, the daughter of a disc jockey. Vesta became interested in singing while in high school. Her family moved from Ohio to Los Angeles in the 1960s. During her teenage years Vesta has found work as a session musician, working with artists such as Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills, and Gordon Lightfoot.

She is a talent, that will definitely be missed. Our prayers are with her family and love ones.
