AALIYAH: 01/16/1979-08/25/2001

Today marks (12) years that our beloved , Aaliyah passed away. Her (22) year life was cut short, after a plane crash. Though she’s gone, Aaliyah’s music and visuals are still prevalent today. I myself listen to her music and I can still feel the warmth and love, within her vocals.

Since her passing, there’s been no one to duplicate her radiant magic. Aaliyah leaped from the recording studio, and into (3) high profile movies. This totally showed her star power and that she was a force to be reckoned with. They’ll never be another like her, and why would we want a duplicate. Aaliyah was definitely “One in a Million.”

THE CHRIS BROWN ” NEW YEAR RESOLUTION”

Most people make simple New Year’s resolutions like to quit smoking or to lose weight — but not Chris Brown. The singer announced he will not be doing any interviews in 2012.
Although that sounds like a pretty good idea given his 2011 Good Morning America debacle, it may not be that smart after all. Won’t his career suffer if he can’t make TV show appearances or talk to the press?

His manager Tina Davis tells Billboard, “We’re not trying to be rude, selfish or disrespectful to anyone in any way. If people are going to judge anything, judge him for his talent.”

Brown is certainly poised to get people talking about his work in 2012. He’s nominated for three Grammys: Best R&B Album, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song and he may even perform at the awards show on February 12.

Keep your hands off woman, and stick to singing. Your so much better do that anyway.
